Final vote on Manatee's 2027 budget, the county administrator's job on the Oct. 6 agenda, Parrish Town Center approved, and things to do this weekend.

Commissioners take a final vote on the county's 2027 budget Thursday, Sept. 24. The draft trims the tax rate slightly, worth about $1.80 a year to a typical homeowner.
On Oct. 6 the Commission will take public comment on whether to end County Administrator Charlie Bishop's contract.
Manatee's median single-family home sold for $495,000 in August, up 5.9% from a year ago, with only 3.9 months of supply.
Parrish Town Center (grocery plus two big-box stores at US 301 & SR 62) won approval. Tenants haven't been named.
Register by Oct. 5 to vote Nov. 3. Four County Commission seats are on the ballot.
